Giving back to our members, school and community.
Old Peninsula Grammarians’ Association (encompassing The Old Peninsula School Association) Inc. is the official alumni association for all past students and Staff of Peninsula Grammar & TPS, Mount Eliza, Victoria. Known as ‘OPGA’, our association is proud to serve our alumni and school community.
To learn about our history, and how our Association was formed, please head to our History page to learn more.
Every individual shares a unique bond for having attended or worked at Peninsula Grammar. OPGA strives to honour that bond and strives to keep people in touch, all whilst embodying the core values of our school.
Our extensive reunion program, networking events, alumni speaker program and careers days are the primary drivers for bringing people back to our school – either in person or virtually. The opportunity to remain linked to the PGS community is further enhanced by the variety of sporting clubs, programs, social media connections, tours and social activities run by OPGA.

OPGA’s motto ‘giving back’ underpins the activities of the Association, as we strive to give back not only to our alumni members, but also to the School community to benefit current and future generations.
You too are able to give back to the school community by sharing your story, providing career guidance at our Connecting Careers event or inspiring our student cohorts at one of our alumni speaker sessions run throughout the year. These sessions are delivered both online and in person. Sign up to our ‘Alumni Guest Speaker Database’ here and find out more.

Hall of Fame
In 1961 the first 86 students were enrolled in a brand new independent school located in Mount Eliza, now known as Peninsula Grammar. Since then over 10,000 alumni have been educated at Peninsula Grammar. All have experienced an unsurpassed education based on the sound values of: Stewardship, Integrity, Personal Excellence, Love of Learning, Community Spirit and Christian Values.
Of those 10,000 past students, the majority of whom are members of OPGA, many have gone on to reach the pinnacle of their chosen career pathways. The Hall of Fame recognises and celebrates the achievements of these inspiring alumni of Peninsula Grammar. Some have become leaders of repute, innovators or recognised throughout the community for their endeavors. Others have been quiet achievers but may be known to you for their efforts in society.
In 2015 the inaugural 'TOPSA' Hall of Fame induction took place at formal dinner held in the Pavilion situated overlooking the H.A. Macdonald Oval. Some 50 inductees in 6 categories were inducted following nominations from former alumni.
By promoting their extraordinary success stories, other alumni and the current student cohort of Peninsula Grammar can be motivated and inspired to push the boundaries and realise their own dreams.

We publish four newsletters every year, each filled with alumni news, event/reunion information, Spotlights on Alumni, our initiatives, ways in which you can give back, stories of our School’s History, committee updates, affiliated sporting club updates, updates from the Peninsula Grammar Principal - Stuart Johnston, and much more!

Speaker Database – Giving Back
OPGA are proud to reconnect the school with alumni speakers, who give their time as career mentors, subject matter experts, guest sporting coaches, foundation students or to simply share their journey since leaving school. Despite the challenges of lockdowns and restrictions over the last couple of years, we have welcomed back to school Olympians, Airforce pilots, surgeons, artists, engineers, STEM leaders, designers, sporting stars, entrepreneurs and more.
We encourage all of our alumni to get involved with OPGA and give back to your school. Opportunities can include speaking at one of our yearly careers and pathway events which we run for current Peninsula students. If you’re interested in coming back to campus (virtually or in person), to share your experiences and inspire the next generation of talent, please sign up to our Alumni Guest Speaker Database using the link below.
