Work Experience / Careers Update
The Peninsula Grammar Careers department are excited to invite Alumni to contribute to the development of our current students by offering work experience placements. Work experience is a valuable opportunity for secondary school students to observe and learn within a real-world environment, providing them with insights into various industries and workplaces.
At Peninsula Grammar, we encourage our Year 10, 11, and 12 students to seek work experience during the school holidays. While this program is not compulsory for all students, it is highly beneficial for those students that choose to undertake it. The Peninsula Grammar Careers department and OH&S team organise all necessary paperwork to ensure a smooth process.
By offering a work experience placement, you can play a pivotal role in shaping the career paths of our students. Your guidance and support can make a significant difference in a student’s educational and career development.
If you are interested in providing a placement or would like more information, please contact Melanie Swaine of the Peninsula Grammar Careers department at mswaine@pgs.vic.edu.au.
The Careers department are also looking for an opportunity for some current students to receive an informal mentoring discussion about any alumni who work in the car racing industry or Formula 1. If you are available for 1 or 2 half hour short mentoring discussions, please contact Stephanie Thompson at stephaniethompson@pgs.vic.edu.au
If you would like to be added to our general OPGA industry database for future opportunities to give back to our PGS student groups, please register here: INDUSTRY DATABASE REGISTER.
Thank you for considering these opportunities to give back to your school community.
