As we conclude the opening term of 2025, I reflect on the remarkable energy and achievements that have already defined our year. It has been a term of connection, celebration and laying the groundwork for a successful year ahead.
One of the most significant moments this term was our Foundation Day, where we came together to honour the rich heritage of Peninsula Grammar while looking ahead to an exciting future. On a personal level, this occasion was made even more special as I was formally commissioned as Principal. It was a humbling moment to stand before you all, embraced by the warmth and unity of this remarkable school community.
The Year 12 Retreat at CYC Phillip Island stands out as a moment of immense growth for our Senior students. Through teamwork and resilience, they embraced activities including raft building and the flying fox, fostering camaraderie and inclusivity. The momentum carried through to the dazzling Year 12 Formal at Mornington Racecourse, where students and staff came together for a memorable evening of elegance, laughter and shared joy.
The PSPA Welcome Evening further showcased the warmth of our school community, offering new and returning families a chance to connect over shared stories and aspirations.
With the first season of sport now complete, I want to say well done to all our sporting teams for their tremendous efforts. Equally exciting has been celebrating the co-curricular achievements of our students Charlie, Isla and Max, who excelled across disciplines ranging from lifesaving to kayaking and netball. Their accomplishments remind us of the boundless potential our students bring to life.
And of course, it would be remiss not to mention the crescendoing conclusion of Term 1 with our Senior School production of ‘Tuck Everlasting’ at the Frankston Arts Centre. Our students put on an incredible show, filled with music, dance and drama. A huge thank you to everyone who participated and supported this fabulous event.
We are immensely fortunate to be part of such a supportive community, encompassing our esteemed alumni, past families, and the promising future families yet to join us. I extend my warmest wishes for the Easter season and holidays ahead. I look forward to the continued success and growth of our school in the coming terms.
