The sun was shining at the 19th Peninsula Golf Classic event on the 25th of March. OPGA were proud sponsors and entered two teams into the Ambrose style competition held at Peninsula Kingswood Country Golf Club. One team (the 2021 defending champions!) was led by current OPGA Treasurer Ian Cockle '79 and the other team was made up of three alumni stars, including Hugh Holland '05, Tim Carruthers '05 and Michael Bolton '06 as well as Brenton Campbell. Winners for best nett score received The Ray Hille Perpetual Trophy and gross score winners were awards with the Hilary Abeyaratne Memorial Trophy. Organised expertly by Sandra Wiley (PGS Events Coordinator), it was truly a fun event for all and a wonderful tradition for OPGA to be a part of.
