On Tuesday 7th of May, our PGS Archives team hosted the first of three Archive Volunteering Mornings. A group of past students came back to school to help date photographs and find familiar faces amongst some photographs of their classes.
A wonderful display was set up for the guests to enjoy over morning tea.
We thank our alumni David Clarke '81, Doug Thring '73, Simon Hast '75 and David Bennett '81 for attending the volunteering morning and encourage others to come to future events scheduled for the 30th of July and 15th of October.

Earlier in the term, we were thrilled to have a visit from alumni Howard James '68 who attended Peninsula for junior school from 1965. Howard's mother, Josephine James, was a significant member of the founding committee of the school and Howard donated a range of precious items and memorabilia to PGS Archives from his family. Items such as tickets, invitations, documents, early magazines and stamps were gratefully accepted by Becca Smith and registered in our Archive collection.
OPGA took Howard on a trip down memory lane with a school tour and he was delighted to see how far the school had come since he was a student.
If you would like to organise your own alumni school tour, please contact us at opga@pgs.vic.edu.au
